This magazine front cover for Q has many codes and conventions. There is a barcode, price and date line in the corner. It also has the cover stars on the front, with the main singer giving the audience direct address to show he is the main singer as the other cover stars are looking away. Also there are cover lines to help pull in Muse's target audience. Also I like the background as the space background makes it look cool and mysterious, but does not take the attention away from the cover stars. The 'album bonanza' also helps gets more of their target audience as it is a screamer and they reader will want to read about all the new albums. Finally the colours are bright and positive making the audience want to buy the magazine.
